get involved

Here at the Trace staying involved is important. As a group of believers,

we are called to serve one another. Here are some ways you can get involved.

reach team

This ministry is all about spreading the love of Christ in our community. Team members focus on reaching out to others in our Walker County area through involvement in local events such as Relay For Life, The Foothills Festival, and Faith In Action. We also host Troop 10 of the Boy Scouts of America here at The Trace. Contact one of the leaders below to join in the fun or get more info.

Welcome Team

Parking Lot to the Pew

Friendly faces and lots of smiles are needed here! A welcome as visitors arrive, assistance with parking and umbrellas, and directions to the front door are all appreciated. Once inside guests need to know where to sit, where the restrooms and coffee are, and where classrooms are located. You can help us make a great first impression!

worship team

Join Jason Azbell and the Worship Team up front as they lead us in worship every Sunday. Practice is on Wednesday nights and occasionally the group is asked to sing for a funeral, wedding or special church event. This group has a song in their hearts and loves to share it with others.

See Jason after worship or contact him to join in the song!

prayer warriors

This team loves others and is willing to pray earnestly and compassionately for them. Prayer requests from our congregation, our community and our missionaries are securely emailed to these volunteers who intercede to God on their behalves.

tech team

Do you know how to operate a sound board, run a computer with worship software or have a basic understanding of technology? You are needed on the tech team! These are the people who help our worship service run smoothly by manning computers and operating the sound booth.

hammerheads

All that is required to be a part of this team is a willingness to work! Replacing a window pane, helping a needy family move, repairing a damaged roof after a storm, or building a set for VBS are projects for the Hammerheads. A few from this group usually travel with the mission team every summer to Baja to handle the physical labor there. Start hammering today!

social media team

Communication is instant in the world today! Did you know you can listen to sermons, see a calendar of events, and even give online? To keep you connected, Woodland Trace has a website, a Facebook page, a twitter account, and is on Instagram. Check us out!

fellowship team

Relationships are strengthened when we spend time together. Fellowship meals, banquets, VBS, ladies retreats, or any special event at the building often requires special set up and planning. Volunteering for this team makes these gathering times possible.

Special Events:

Brainstorming, finding speakers, planning seminars and coordinating events for church growth is also a focus of this group.

kitchen crew

At The Trace we like to eat! This means we always need help in the kitchen! Every Sunday morning before worship a dedicated team arrives to start the coffee, bake biscuits, and fry up the bacon for breakfast. They also coordinate our seasonal Wednesday night meals and man the kitchen whenever there is a special event.
